We stopped in here before heading to Logan Airport to get some clam chowder and lobster rolls. The food was great and delicious. After our first bite of chowder we all had the same reaction "wow". I had the mac and cheese and it was full of flavor. The service was great and it wasn't too busy for a Monday afternoon.

Joe's was recommended to me by a person at the conference I was attending and I'm glad I took her advice! The setting in the main dining area was a little dark but cozy. The server was very friendly and attentive to my needs. I had the lobster roll and it was delicious. the bun was grilled to perfection and had plenty of lobster, i appreciated the fact that it was not covered in mayo, it was very tasty!

Overall a pleasant experience The host was nice, a gentleman however forgot to tell the server and we were waiting for a bit to place order and get drinks. The Reuben sandwich was amazing The Cobb salad was a beautiful big salad, Waitress was nice and overall it was a pleasurable experience

I sat at the bar and Danny the bartender was great. What I liked: - great location. - Fiddlehead IPA on tap (other craft beers as well. - a good menu. My only complaint, since it was brunch time, was the American breakfast. I asked foreggs over easy, and they were a overcooked. Not sure if it was a transcribing error (Danny did not write over easy), or an execution error and the cook overcooked them. The sausages also had very little taste of them at all. Other than that, I scored five because I'd come back to try again with something else.

I visited Joe's on a Sunday for brunch. I was immediately shocked by the space - it looks like a tiny diner from the outside, but the downstairs unfolds into a cavernous and smartly decorated dining area. Service was prompt and polite, and my server checked in several times during my meal to make sure everything was prepared as ordered. I had the mushroom juicy Lucy, which was a grilled and stuffed portobello mushroom. The mushroom was juicy, tender, and slightly crispy on the exterior - very much perfectly cooked. I didn't particularly enjoy the sauce it was served with, but as a proud sandwich deconstructor, I found it easy to remove, and it wasn't so integrated with the mushroom that it ruined anything. It was overall delicious. The server was also kind enough to substitute a side salad for fries, which I appreciated. Overall, this is a great place to head to on a Sunday morning, particularly during the summer when newbury street is closed to cars. I'll definitely come back!

My partner and I went to Boston for a long weekend to visit our friend from college, on our last day before flying back home we had brunch at Joe's. The food was really good, we ordered the calamari (forgot to take a picture). For my entree, I got the lobster roll, I haven't had a lobster roll since I was in NC 2 years ago! so it was yummy! Everything tasted great but I wish we could have ate in the upstairs dining area since it was a beautiful day - we could see tables available (maybe they were all reserved?) . We were seating downstairs, where it was completely empty, no windows so no natural light, we could hear folks cooking in the kitchen, luckily our server was attentive and checked in with us throughout our meal but since we were the only people seated downstairs, it would have been difficult to flag any staff otherwise.

This place was hoppin at 4pm on a Friday. Service was fast and friendly. Menu of classic pub food options. Started with a cup of chowder which was well portioned and just a touch spicy which was nice. Had the prime burger for my entree, it was a little over cooked but did have a nice char on the patty. Served with thick cut fries that were really good. Good spot for a casual lunch or dinner.

I've been eyeing this place on Newbury St for the longest time now, and my friends and I finally decided to give it a try! We made a reservation for a party of 4 on a Saturday evening, and got seated promptly. The venue is spacious, with a few levels, and a patio for outdoor dining. We sat inside as it was a cold day outside, and right away I noticed the high quality of service. The hosts were very kind, and so was the waitstaff. Our waitress was very nice and joked with us, and gave us a good amount of time to decide what we wanted to order. My girlfriend and I each got a burger-- I chose a side caesar salad and my girlfriend got fries with it. The other two in our party opted for some seafood options-- the seared tuna salad and the salmon entree. My burger was tasty and the side Caesar salad was great. I really enjoyed the thin crouton slices and flakes of Parmesan on top as a garnish. The fries were also very good and salted well. I heard reports that the tuna salad and salmon were tasty, but the portions were a bit disproportionate. The burger portion was excellent, but the salad was very big and the salmon entree was too small, especially for the prices. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried this place, and I enjoyed my food, but it wasn't anything particular to write home about. We had a fun experience though!

This place has a great location and decided to stop for our first meal in town. The seating is overlooking Newberry street and despite the many people and close proximity to the street, we felt cozy! The servers were also kind and accommodated us to the top spaces rather than the basement restaurant. They always had a smile on their face and were very attentive asking if we needed anything! The clam chowder was great! However, it is quite filling and dense, so I'd say it can be your main course. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star review was because we didn't get to try more dense entrees. The salads were also delicious and fresh! I would love to go back to try more food varieties on the menu!

Joe's has real potential to be a brunch staple. Everything on the menu sounds delicious and I had such a hard time choosing. Ended up going with the buffalo chicken and waffles, sauces separate, and it wasn't something to call home about as the chicken felt over fried, but I liked the touch of scallions. All the other dishes servers carried around looked delicious, and portions are huge! The ambiance upstairs is bright and cozy, while the downstairs is much darker and felt overwhelmed by the woody interior. I did like how you can fully see the works of the kitchen though. I'd come back to try other items on the menu!
